About the Author
Some years back, Golden Heart ® Award Winner Susan Sey gave up the glamorous world of software training to pursue a high powered career in diaper changing. Two children and millions of diapers later, she decided to branch out and started writing novels during nap time. The kids eventually gave up their naps, so now she writes when she's supposed to be doing the laundry.

Money Shot is Serious Fun
By LizSelvig
When Secret Service agent Maria "Goose" diGuzman arrives on Mishkwa Island in Lake Superior, ostensibly to investigate the local park ranger for his subversive political agenda, it takes her about thirty minutes for deep-seated attraction to grip her and refuse to let her go. It also takes that long for her to know beyond a doubt that ranger Rush Guthrie is as far from subversive as a man can get.
Rush is a former Navy SEAL who has come home to the tiny island in order to exorcise demons left from his elite military career. He may be quiet, and still a little too attached to the weapon he carries in his pocket, but he knows who he is and he's good at reading other people. In Goose he sees a woman who is hiding her true self under a façade of cool, calm professionalism. It doesn't take long for Rush to know he wants to exorcise her demons, too, and free the passionate Maria so long overshadowed by buttoned-up Goose.
But as Rush and Goose fall headlong into a relationship that will force them both to unearth deep secrets from the past, there is big trouble on Mishkwa. Someone is running a counterfeit operation and Goose suspects the people closest in the world to Rush are involved. The investigation she starts with Rush includes hunting an overly horny bull moose and attending a Lunar celebration starring naked, pagans including Rush's own sixty-something aunt. But things turn serious when Rush's cousin, Einar, and an extremely troubled teen named Yarrow become the focus of the hunt. Is it even remotely possible that the man Rush has always treated like a brother is part of a deadly scheme? Or that Yarrow is part of the plot? Or is something or someone else at work?
Susan has crafted an amazing story that weaves both edge-of-the-seat intrigue, wonderfully humorous elements (I mean, a dumpster-humping moose named Sir Humpalot?) and absolutely believable, heart-tugging internal struggles into a truly fun summer read. Rush is a hero worth a very huge crush, and Goose/Maria is a heroine we can all relate to--with the ability to save even a former SEAL. I recommend you definitely read this book, if for nothing else than to find the "Hello, Maria" scene - it'll melt your heart. I promise.

Follow The Money for a Shot at Love
By Amazon Customer
I really enjoyed this one!
I was on page 36 and totally in love with the sexual chemistry and sarcastic banter between Goose and Rush. Sure they'd just met, he was a suspect she was investigating, and she sure didn't like the way he was making her feel...all hot and bothered under the collar. And she may not have been 100% professional or acting appropriately when she coped a feel but I loved it. And I loved even more that Rush shut her down and his reasons why. Most men think and act with the little head but there would be no rushing into any situations for this man named Rush. He's got the patience of Job. He's an ex-Navy SEAL sniper - he's used to waiting for what he wants. And above all else he wants honesty from Goose and won't accept anything less. Rush goes to great lengths to expose the "real" Maria di Guzman with the curly, unruly hair and imperfections because Goose with the poker straight perfect hair and the plastic, fake personality she displays to the world - is not the woman he wants.
Actually the more involved I got in Money Shot it became evident that Rush and Goose were complicated, baggage-carrying, scarred characters. They were actually much more similar than they realized. Both were working out issues from their past including why Rush left his job as a high-ranking sniper for the SEALS and the immense guilt Goose feels over the death of her twin sister when they were teen-agers. Emotional, soul searching stuff.
Add in some woo hoo witchy-poo black magic led by tea-shop owner Aunt Lila, paganpaloosa, a surly, smart-aleck, rebellious 16 year old teenager Yarrow and the charming, looking-out-for-#1 cousin Einar and there's lots going on in Money Shot.
Ohh and I mustn't forget to mention Sir Humpsalot - he's a randy moose on the loose dontcha know.
I don't think it will surprise anyone who's passing the Korean super notes in Money Shot...it's a small, marginally inhabited island - the prospects are few. For me Money Shot was all about Goose and Rush and their developing relationship and personal growth.
