Excellent depiction of what SEALs go through when in action.

First of this series I have read, and it was really fun and interesting. As far as the technical details about armament, aircraft and procedures of the SEALs and other special forces, it is very Tom Clancyish, with fascinating information. A lot of research obviously had to be done.
As to the plot, when there was action, it was non-stop and difficult to put down. My only complaint, and it is minor, is that there was far, far too much information about that period in the Balkans. I lived through that time, and trying to follow the news stories about what country, what ethnic group, and what was happening was almost impossible. There were numerous long sections trying to explain all this. I could not follow it then, nor could I after finishing the book. Far too much of this between the parts dealing with the various military groups and what they did. Despite all that, I still have little understanding of what these various ethnic groups are or what they want. Nor do I care, really.
Anyhow, well worth reading. I certainly will read more in the series.

Found this series when looking for books about the Seals. I understand it is probably not exact on their procedure but it was interesting and enjoyable. Would I recommend this to other readers? You bet. If there is anything negative I could say it would be that not the whole series is on Kindle thus I had to purchase the paperback book and wait for its arrival to keep in line with the series. I also know why I can read the Kindle series so quickly. This book I read in less than two days and the paperback took me two weeks. Anyway good read!

Really good read.... Challenging and Engaging at the same time.

I really enjoyed this book. While I have never served in the military, the FEEL of the story is one of great realism. There are a few spots where it gets a tad technical for me, that's a personal thing and, in no way, a reflection on the writing. I enjoyed the book very much and can't wait to read the next SEAL Team Seven book.
