About the Author
Roni wrote her first romance novel at age fifteen when she discovered writing about boys was way easier than actually talking to them. Since then, her flirting skills haven't improved, but she likes to think her storytelling ability has. Though she'll forever be a New Orleans girl at heart, she now lives in Dallas with her husband and son. If she's not working on her latest sexy story, you can find her reading, watching reality television, or indulging in her unhealthy addiction to rockstars, er, rock concerts. Yeah, that's it.

Where was the erotica??

If she invented a line, she'd name them after movie stars. The Mark Wahlberg. The Brad Pitt. She smiled. Maybe she had missed her calling."
Ten years ago Reid Jamison and Brynn LeBreck fell in love while working on Reid's Uncle's senatorial campaign. With Brynn Reid can be himself both in and out of the bedroom but those around them know they come from different worlds and want the two to break up. Fast forward ten years and Reid and Brynn are working together and neither one has forgotten the past and the hurt they both caused one another. When Brynn's sister goes missing the only person she can turn to is Reid and together they go to The Ranch, a BDSM retreat, where Brynn's sister is. Connecting they way the did in the past bring up old feelings and memories but it also just might be the key to getting them back together.
I love a good smut book and I had very high expectations for this book but I was really let down and annoyed. After reading the back cover and the description on Goodreads I thought there would be a lot of sex and this book would be an erotica but as I started reading it turned into more of a murder-mystery instead and that's just not what I wanted to read. I was also very disappointed in the lack of BDSM especially when half of the book takes place at a secluded ranch in the middle of Texas where people in the Scene go to have fun. If I had known how little sex, especially naughty sex, was in this book I wouldn't have bothered reading.
What I did find interesting in that the book tells the story in two parts: then and now. Then deals with how Brynn and Reid meet, bringing out Reid's dominant and Brynn's submissive sides and what happened to their relationship. The now deals with Brynn's sister missing, the fall out of their relationship and their time at the Ranch. I enjoyed both Brynn and Rein in the now chapters but I hated them in the then chapters. I felt the dialogue really went down hill and kind of cheesy when I was reading the then chapters and I missed the snarky Brynn that came out in the now chapters.
As I mentioned before I wanted to read a dirty, naughty, smutty book and I found this to be very lacking in the smut department. There was only one hot scene and the way it ended was horrible and killed the rest of the book for me. I found the rest of the sex scenes too vanilla for my taste and nothing special. One the back cover it says BDSM and sadly in this book the only thing BDSM is people calling each other Master and Sir. I don't need crazy gagball whipping scenes but don't sell me a book as a BDSM and then not deliver with some toe curling, face fanning, blood pumping sex.
This book just didn't do it for me. I spent half of it annoyed at young Brynn and Reid and the other half wondering where the spicy sex scenes were. I didn't care for the mystery-solving a murder aspect either. All around this was just disappointing and sadly if you're looking for a little smut this book is not the book for you.

Heart Pounding Suspense and Blood Pumping Romance!

This book was HOT HOT HOT!!! WAY hotter than I expected. I will be honest and say that this is one of the HOTTEST books I've ever read, BUT, it kept me turning page after page to feel the suspenseful intensity of the story. Roni Loren created some awesome, believable characters and set the scenes to boiling with the romance and bedroom scenes!
I loved the way Roni Loren took Brynn and Reid's stories and blended them perfectly. Brynn has sexual issues....not that she doesn't like sex, but she has issues with it, since her mother was raped. Reid stomped on Brynn's heart more than once, but has issues of his own to overcome...one of them being, proving to Brynn that he never stopped loving her. When Brynn's sister goes missing, Brynn has to camp out at a BDSM ranch retreat and comes face to face with the horrible reality of her past: crashing face to face with Reid.
Set in the backdrop of an erotic, intense sexual retreat, these two come together in search of Brynn's sister, exploring their fantasies, and learning to trust once again. But, something goes terribly wrong, and while searching for the truth, these two must fight for their lives, and each other's trust.
I totally recommend this book to anyone who is looking for the perfect get away into an intensely suspenseful, passion-boiling novel. It's the first in a new series, and this 4 Book worthy story will not end here! I can't wait to see what's in store for Ms. Loren's new fans! But, be forewarned....the boiling scenes of this book will leave you fanning yourself for days after you're done. WOW. Great work, Ms. Loren!

Sequel Sucks

Well, practically speaking it doesn't - which is the problem! I read "Melt Into You" & liked it. It was a little tame but had a few hot sex scenes - which is why I bought it - as a book listed under 'erotica'. Was looking for MMF (as opposed to MFM). That book had MF, MFM, and only 1 MM scene at end but overall it still was a fun book. I didn't buy it for it's story line which was ridiculous of course (like most of the genre erotica out there), but the Sequel, this book, "Crash Into You" was nothing like the 1st. Billed as a story about a woman going undercover as a submissive, I expected MORE. A lot of club scenes, BDSM, ménage, etc. It was mainly MF, except 1 "Scene" where a friend helps him give her oral sex but that's all. Scene over, not even sex w/her so called 'dominant'. Nothing else. Turn page to next day & back to God awful storyline. It wasn't really erotica at all just a bad fluff romance book w/sex scenes a little more risqué than normal but nothing to do really w/real submissives/dominants or even anthing close to it. Nothing to get hot & bothered about. I excpect sequels to provide More, not Less. Got both at same time & this 1 came much later than 1st (diff sellers I guess). This book was a total waste of $$ & I expect it won't get any better if there's more to this series. I recommend avoiding this author.
